This research is founded on the analysis of the export of frozen boneless beef to the European market specifically Italy exposes the difficulty and lack of competitiveness that has Colombia to penetrate markets because the meat sector has the infrastructure and the production capacity which could eventually supply much of the demand in any market worldwide. The importance of market research would help the growth, development , expansion and recognition of Colombian meat market , given that Italy meets all variables to be a potential for the Colombian market meat sector because of its large consumption and demand ; but in turn it is important to note that the lack of technology , investment, compliance with phytosanitary standards , place Colombia in a position of disadvantage compared to producers the South American continent, which having a lower development are strong in one sector which Colombia could become potential.
