Resumen
Labor legislation in the countries mentioned in the title of this article does not show big differences. Considering that elements such as the labor relation, contracts, wages and benefits burden all have the purpose to protect workers’ integrity and safety through the proposed regulation, a middle point between the benefits for the employees and the employers is sought. Taking into account the different aspects to consider, there is evidence that in Peru the economic labor load that the organizations assume when hiring a formal employee is higher than the obligation imposed in Colombia, this generates a high percentage of informal work. On the other hand, general aspects of the recurrent labor and of domestic service contracts reflect minimal differences between both countries, but in spite of the fact that in the neighboring country there are more government entities that regulate labor laws, taxation presents a high deficit due to poor efficiency in control procedures exercised on the informal jobs, therefore one of the most frequent consequences are accidents at the workplace with schedules and in conditions not allowed by the law.
