Abstract

This investigation project consists of designing a tool which permits one to understand the processes that ought to be kept in mind for an importation, specifically one of wines of Chilean origin. The purpose of the investigation is to look into the relevant worries of wine importers and from there, develop a tool that allows the importer to have a clearer idea about the step by step process of a wine import. Based on descriptive methodology, information was gathered from various bibliographical materials, electronic information sources and investigative techniques – such as interviews – that would allow a familiarization with the winemaking industry. The results showed that people immersed in the importation of alcoholic beverages typically have questions about the processes of carrying out an importation. The presentation concludes with an importation manual, which includes basic concepts; general terms recognized throughout the world, relevant information about the Chilean winemaking sector and includes an explanation of the negotiation process from the exporting territory until the importer takes possession.
