The aim of this research is to establish the main mechanisms and processes in the service of opening Compensation Accounts in Colombia-Panama identifying the most important regulations that have both countries, understood as laws, resolutions, regimes, legislation among others for the handling of foreign exchange with this identify if it is possible or not to enter into new agreements. Likewise, its politics that cover with the obligations stipulated in Central Intermediation Banks (Banco de la República de Colombia & Banco Nacional de Panamá) and control entities in order to establish their advantage in the handling of international transactions, taking a general view of how their operations are and what entails each one of them. Added to the knowledge of other banks such as Bancolombia, Citibank and Banco de Bogotá followed by the selection of three banks in Panama.
